Significance
of logo
Trees symbolise growth, prosperity
and well-being, shows care and concern for everyone around and is
the symbol of ultimate hospitality.
They give support to all living entities
and no person in need ever go away disappointed by them. By their
leaves, flowers and fruits; shade and roots, bark and wood; by their
fragrance, sap, ashes, pulp and shoots they award all things desirable.
Green is the color of growth and has
come to symbolize prosperity. It also underlies eternity, family,
fertility, harmony, health, peace, posterity. In villages, green
is the colour people can readily identify themselves with, as agriculture
is the mainstay of villages and their lives are inextricably linked
to grass, plants and trees – all of them green.
And the tree in the logo consists of
number of human forms, which suggests that people, working in unity,
are responsible for growth, development and prosperity. The human
forms in the tree are again designed with the shape of letter ‘V’
which again stands for ‘Vikas” or development.
In all, the logo signifies that people
and natural resources working in tandem are responsible for growth,
prosperity and sustainable development. |
